About the business:
Work for a high-performing financial institution that has a strong presence in Australia. The group business has been quite successful and are therefore expanding their team looking for Senior Pricing Analysts and Actuaries to join the Technical Pricing team. The business values work life balance while also providing a supportive culture for budding actuaries to grow and develop their technical skillset. 


Responsibilities:
  • You will identify and implement a technical pricing framework and “test and learn” initiatives that support strategic imperativesof the business
  • Responsible for managing the book pricing for the various portfolios, responding to market and competitor movements in an agile and responsive manner
  • Support Segment Leads with insights into key segments that are driving material trends in performance and provide recommendations on pricing actions to deliver results against margin and growth targets
  • Contribute valuable insights into the strategic portfolio (SPM) planning discussions and actively support the execution of pricing strategies
  • Utilise the technical pricing models developed by Analytics to drive pricing outcomes overlaying elasticity models and competitor price movements.

About yourself?
  • 3+ years of genearl insurance pricing experience - personal or commercial lines
  • Experience with SAS, SQL and R
  • Experience with pricing techniques and models such as GLM and GBM
  • Ability to translate technical componenets into commercial outcomes 
  • Tertiary qualification in a numerial or analytical discipline (Ex: Actuarial, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics)
  • Technical and commercial thinking
  • Strong work ethic and curious by nature.
