We are seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst to join a high-performing pricing team at a leading General Insurance organisation. This role plays a critical part in shaping pricing strategy across key insurance products, using advanced analytics, statistical modelling, and deep insight into customer and portfolio behaviour to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
You will work closely with underwriting, product, distribution, risk, and senior stakeholders, translating complex technical analysis into clear, actionable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and interpret large internal and external datasets to inform and set pricing for general insurance products
Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing models using GLMs, machine learning techniques, natural perils modelling, geographic analysis, and data science approaches
Generate insights from modelling and portfolio analysis to recommend pricing and business actions to a broad range of stakeholders
Implement pricing changes and quantify expected financial and portfolio impacts
Design, build, and maintain pricing infrastructure, tools, and processes to support efficient and scalable delivery
Continuously monitor model performance, pricing outcomes, and portfolio results, taking proactive action to improve profitability and risk outcomes
Support customer complaints analysis and remediation from a pricing perspective
Assist with pricing governance, risk controls, and reporting requirements
About You
5+ years’ experience within the General Insurance industry, ideally in pricing or actuarial roles
Strong understanding of GI products, regulatory environment, and market dynamics
Advanced modelling capability with demonstrated experience in general insurance pricing and data science techniques
Strong programming and data management skills across SAS, SQL, Python, and/or R
Experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Highly developed problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Degree qualified in Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
