Brand new greenfield project in a large, global entity undergoing a massive digitalisation & transformation of their service offering.

Hi guys - Max Nash here from Ethos with another Java opportunity, this one is a full blown application build led by the Australian arm of an internation businesses in the Insurance world.

Initially theres 2 projects we're hiring for here, one being full Digital Transformation of a from scratch application, and the other being a Risk & Compliance application refactoring & rebuild.

Technology wise this team is seperated into Full-Stack development and DevOps engineers, with my roles being focussed entirely on the application stack through to imaging and CD - however you won't be working directly on AWS itself (although it is the cloud we are working with here)

Technology Stack:
  • Java Java Java, you know the spread here I want to see high level Spring (Core, Batch, Security, MVC) & Hibernate
  • Springboot - we are running service driven architecture, all API all the time
  • RESTful API design & development - including data consumption form UI layers and applications
  • TypeScript - all the UI nation wide is currently or will be soon working on Angular v4-9 built in TypeScript
  • Docker Imaging & containerisation
  • Jenkins, Buildkite or Bamboo CI/CD pipelines
  • JSON & XML

Nice to have (But not needed)
  • Openshift and or Kubernetes (again you won't be working on this but the OpenShift platform does exist in this environment
  • AWS (a bonus but again you won't be working on this day to day)
  • Insurance experience (Highly regarded!)

Project & Business in the Market
This client is embarking on a global system rebuild, with architects and technical leaders in the US, Europe, Middle East and India - the Australia team has all the budget and will be leading the work from the front - your impact will be seen internationally as one of the first developers on this program of work and this role is working to delivery the 1st product in a platform that currently has 20+ products to deliver in it's full life cycle.
