We are partnering with a Global Financial Services Group to recruit a high calibre Senior Financial & Tax Accountant for their financial control team. The group are well established in the ANZ region and have a large finance team in Australia offering excellent career progression, development and flexibility.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Financial Control this is a broad role offering a blend of financial and statutory accounting as well as excellent exposure to tax effect accounting and driving finance process improvements. 

Key deliverables will include:
  • Preparing financial statement note disclosures, local and group reporting, commentary, and supporting external audit process 
  • Leading the preparation of tax effect accounting
  • Advising on accounting treatment, data and reporting of tax effect accounting 
  • Proactively monitoring and understanding changes to business operations accounting and tax treatments 
  • Delivering continuous improvement and process improvement, automation and systems enhancements
  • User acceptance-testing design and execution relating to finance systems and process change

Required skills and experience:
  • CA/CPA qualified accountant ideally trained in audit or business services within chartered firm
  • Strong financial control and financial statements knowledge and experience
  • Experience in the preparation or review of tax effect accounting and the application of accounting standards
  • Post qualified experience within a complex financial services group would be desirable
