About the role:
 
An exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst who is looking to take that next step in their career and move into a Senior Finance Analyst role, with genuine long term career opportunites. Working for a leading insurer, this broad and highly visible role will see you provide dedicated financial support and oversight across a number of strategically significant programs. You will be involved in financial analysis and reporting, including involvement in the annual prioritisation process, as well and involvement in transformation related FP&A work that will regularly be presented to the Group Executive level.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Global process owner with financial oversight for selected strategic projects: including reporting, planning, forecasting and business case financial modelling.
  • Support the construction and challenge of business cases for programs within the transformation investment portfolio.
  • Functional lead for virtual project finance team across multiple countries and time zones to ensure that people, resources and processes are aligned with business needs and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that reports and commentary are timely, accurate and insightful in order to facilitate key business decisions, and that risks and issues are called out.
  • Work closely and build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including business partners across the organisation, as well as offshore teams, FP&A and ePMO teams.
 
Required skills and experience:
 
  • CA/ CPA qualified, with a minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services sector
  • Experience working across transformation programs and change initiatives preferred.
  • Proven ability in managing information systems including the extraction of relevant data and building financial models.
  • Strong finance background and ability to synthesis large data sets into simple insights and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to assimilate and correctly apply analytical techniques to facilitate executive business decision making, such as the correct application of NPV/DCF and Return on Investment metrics.
  • Highly proficient with Excel (building financial models) and PowerPoint (building decks for senior audiences).
