If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading financial services business as a Senior Compliance Lead.

About the Role: As a Senior Compliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in providing compliance leadership and strategic guidance to this respected financial services business. Working across core verticals, you will be instrumental in driving business engagement, promoting a culture of compliance, and delivering high-performance outcomes within a maturing 3 Lines of Defence structure. You will be a critical member of the Compliance, Legal, and Risk team, providing expertise across governance, advisory, assurance, and reporting disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance: Lead reviews, uplifts, and embedding of business frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Advisory: Provide expert advice and judgement on critical projects, partner arrangements, and marketing content.
  • Assurance: Lead monitoring and assurance activities in line with delegation and approved schedule.
  • Oversight: Support the business in undertaking impact assessments against proposed regulatory change agendas.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the design and production of data-driven and insightful reporting for both the business and extended leadership team.
  • Strategy: Participate in various strategic deliverables as a representative of the Compliance Department.
  • Structure: Support the build, delivery, and embedding of a 3 Lines of Defence model, including supporting capability uplift across the 1st Line of Defence.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a compliance or risk-related role with a regulator, financial institution, or similar entity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a regulated industry as well as risk and compliance legislation within the context of those institutions.
  • Ability to build partnerships by collaborating and interacting professionally and effectively.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience in producing regulatory reporting and associated assurance plans.
  • Experience in producing Board and Committee reporting.
  • Tertiary level qualifications.
