Join Tier 1 general insurer as they build up their actuarial valuations team. The team is looking for a Senior or Actuary to step into a technical and commercial role focusing on the statutory lines portfolio (CTP, Workers Compensation, etc). Great for Actuarial Analysts / Senior Analysts to take that next step up in their career.

Role & Responsibility:
  • Build new valuations models and processes and contribute from a technical capability standpoint
  • Work closely with the reserving and pricing to ensure reserves are adequately provisioned
  • Take ownership and lead analysts in their day to day work
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure any change in experience is communicated within the wider team
  • Broad exposure to senior level stakeholders (ex: Head of Claims, Head of CTP)
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in actuarial, statistics mathematics or engineering
  • 2+ years in general insurance preferably in reserving/valuations of long tail portfolio but open to other areas in general insurance
  • Partly qualified Actuary / working towards qualifications
  • Knowledge in statistical, data programming and visualisation tools (ex: SAS, SQL, and R)
