Role Summary: 

We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience in Audit, Compliance or Risk Assurance, who are seeking a promising career with Tier-1 Australian Financial Institutions. These roles will form a critical part of the 2nd Line Risk Assurance & Governance function.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assurance plan for the assigned portfolio(s) (eg. Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Institutional Bank, Financial Markets, Group Services, Technology & Analytics, Projects & Change, Financial Crimes, Finance, Vendor Management etc.).
  • Perform independent reviews on the design and operating effectiveness of key business controls (manual and automated).
  • Assess and fully understand all the controls, run assurance testings in accordance with the Group's risk management program and strategy.
  • Support your team in assurance reviews over the delivery risk and delivered risk of key projects, with extra attention to high and medium risk rated ones.
  • Document findings and deliver assurance opinions, collaborate and challenge the business when necessary.
  • Maintain a cohesive working relationship with key stakeholders especially Ops Risk, Compliance & Group Audit.
  • Collate and consolidate materials for management and committee meetings.

Skill Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on controls testing experience in Banking or Professional Services (Big4 Consulting firms) in Australia or overseas.
  • Adept in effectively executing testing plans with strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to articulate and socialise findings to influence and get buy-in's from senior stakeholders.
  • Friendly and approachable personality.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CA/CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA, FRM, MBA are desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of ITGC, testing of automated controls are highly advantageous.
