Job Title: Risk Analyst (6-Month Contract)
Location: Sydney or Melbourne
Daily Rate: $895 + Super
Contract Duration: 6 months

About the Role:

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise-wide transformation program. This Line 1 risk role focuses on supporting risk and control assessments, audit coordination, and APRA engagement across the program.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on support for risk and control documentation, manage evidence for audit and assurance activities, and work closely with stakeholders to drive proactive risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification, documentation, and assessment of risks and controls, including evaluating design and operating effectiveness.
  • Coordinate audit and assurance logistics, including sample selection and evidence gathering.
  • Liaise with auditors to clarify control requests and translate audit requests into actionable tasks for evidence providers.
  • Prepare and review risk artefacts, packs, and documentation for APRA consultation.
  • Maintain risk and control registers and assist with risk reporting across the program.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks, with experience assessing design and operating effectiveness.
  • Experience in audit coordination and evidence management.
  • Familiarity with APRA regulatory requirements and consultation processes.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail in reviewing documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Jira and standardised templates for structured responses.
