The Position:
  • My client is looking for a senior Qlik Developer who has experience with creating and executing test plans and strategies. This is a role in a high visibility team for a big 4 bank
  • There has been a rapid growth of Self Service Analytics, and dashboard building on QlikSense.  There is now a shift in focus to turning these to be fully Operational and Technology Supported, when the dashboard is matured and being used for critical business reporting or decision making
  • The team are responding by building out key controls and repeatable regression testing into the end to end data flow through Qlik
  • The backend database layers are very mature with respect to control and testing, but the Qlik layers need to have focus and an evolved test strategy
  • This will require niche skill in Analytics and Qlik to ensure the correct test strategy and test plans are created and executed
 Skills:
  • Looking for similar skills of the Qlik developer, but in Analytical BA space, with a focus on test and quality assurance through the data layers
  • Strong skills hands-on.  Writing SQL, opening Qlik apps and understanding architecture and data transformations
  • Ability also to work on defining and building strategy in test automation/efficiency
