Our client, a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Principal Commercial Advisor to join their team in Parramatta. (option to work from home up to three days per week)
The initial contract will be until the end of June 2021 with potential for an extension past this point.

The role will work within a team to engage NSW Government Senior Executives, Consulting firms, Expert Advisors and Key  External Stakeholders to develop two high quality final business cases.

Experience Required:
  • Strategy consulting firm background (or equivalent within private company/government)
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and financial modelling capability
  • Demonstrated ability to draw strategic insights from international examples and communicate the strategic potential of technology innovations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience designing new business models or programs
  • Experience developing detailed roadmaps for establishing new enterprises or institutions
  • Ability to rapidly understand NSW Government requirements for investment decisions and commissioning new enterprises or institutions

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Defence, Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing industries within Australia and internationally
  • Knowledge of tertiary education sector, university research sector and vocational education within Australia
  • Experience with precinct development, particularly innovation precincts
  • Experience developing business plans for new, standalone, enterprises or institutions
  • Experience in designing programs to commercialise innovation and technology
