Reporting into the Market Intelligence Specialist your role will undertake quantitative and qualitative  market research, including the development of efficient and effective models for data collation and analysis, analysis of data, development, and delivery of surveys, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, monitoring of higher education reports and mystery shopping to help gather customer, influences, and employer insights.
This team operate as a mini-market research consultancy within the future students program responsible for student recruitment. This ia a large long-term project forthe  education portfolio which is 4 stages of qualatative and quantative research with domestic post grad students. This role will directly contribute to this project. This role will also contribute to Adhoc projects for faculties to do concept testing, concept sizing and target identification.

What does the role involve:
  • Project management experience in a market research environment (method agnostic) - setting up research, execute research, qualitative interviews, one and one and with other team members if needed.
  • Attending and note-taking at project meetings including briefing sessions
  • Drafting project proposal including outlining the scope of work, appropriate methodology, and sampling frame
  • Drafting project timelines including identifying step-by-step the activities/work that the project requires and communicating these needs and timeframes to all involved (immediate project team and adjacent colleagues e.g. LNC as needed)
  • Briefing and facilitating necessary stakeholder approvals
  • Communicating and facilitating the approvals and input you need from the Market Intelligence Specialist in order to complete your work
  • Brief, coordinate and facilitating tasks that require collaboration with adjacent teams (e.g. LNC, BI)
 
Qualitative responsibilities:
  • Drafting field work schedules and screeners to ensure the correct respondents are recruited
  • Facilitate recruitment including respondent communication ensuring they have the necessary information for participation
  • Booking venues for groups and workshops
  • Program and test screeners to ensure optimal user experience and correct functionality and data capture
  • Production of stimulus and other research materials
  • Drafting discussion guides that will appropriately uncover the necessary information
 
Quantitative responsibilities:
Drafting smart questionnaires that will provide the data to answer the research/business questions
  • Program and test questionnaires (using Qualtrics) to ensure optimal user experience and correct functionality and data capture
  • Monitor survey performance ensuring data is being captured as expected
  • Perform data cleaning, structuring and variable construction
  • Draft analysis plans and perform accurate analysis
  • Transform tubulised data into insightful charts/visualisations to tell a clear story using Excel and Displayr
  • Draft analysis summaries drawing out the strategic conclusions and business implications
 
You will be collaborative and come with string communications skills. There are two other team members performing the same role and this role is backfilling someone stepping into a more senior function. They team need someone who can start ASAP.
