We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance to join a fast growing tech start up based in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the CEO and owner this role will manage a small team and support the business through funding rounds and IPO in early 2022. This hands on role offers an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety duties as the company looks to acquire other organisations and IPO in the next 18 months. As such they require a flexible, committed candidate who is looking to grow.

The ideal candidate have experience in a fast growing SME managing the end to end finance function and supporting the investment/growth strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and presentations for investors
  • Ensure internal and external financial reporting integrity and accuracy
  • Develop reporting and controls ready for IPO
  • Partner with the CEO and MD on a variety of projects
  • Monthly reporting and financial board reporting as required
  • Tax and regulatory compliance
  • Additional duties as assigned by Executives from time to time


Candidate Profile

  • CA/CPA qualified (with varied experience in SME organisations)
  • Experience preparing end to end accounts
  • Passionate about learning and not afraid to get there hands dirty
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable dealing with CEO, owners and investors
