This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an Insurance Audit executive to join this nimble and growing Insurance group. Due to an internal promotion the opportunity for aHead of Audit has become available. You will report directly to the Audit Committee, managing a small team of staff. The mandate of this position is the timely execution of the audit plan, improving the quality of core processes across Internal Audit including Audit Methodology, Reporting, Strategy and Issue Management. In addition you will take responsibility for the following;
Ensure the continued development of Internal Audit processes and reporting are executed in an effective manner.
Identification of key risks across all the operations and subsidiaries.
Introduction and development of a “centre of excellence” through automating process, redesign audit reports, executive summaries and introducing of overall “modern” audit solutions.
Manage and negotiate the organisation’s external relationships with third party service providers.
Develop and implement fraud control strategies, including investigating allegations of internal fraud.
Manage, develop and motivate a team of professional staff.
The ideal candidate will be CIA / ACCA / CISA / CA / CPA or similar qualified and have gained 10 years plus experience in Audit or Risk ideally from theInsurance or Wealth Management industry. You will display natural leadership skills with a focus on driving change and challenging the “status quo”. It is essential that you have a strong command of English, translating to above average report writing and communication skills. This position will expose the successful candidate in driving genuine strategic change. Superb long term career prospects are on offer.
