Leading financial Services group with flexible culture and excellent work life balance have a newly created position for a high calibre financial analyst to focus on financial analysis and project accounting for a major transformation program. 

Reporting into the Senior manager, Project Finance you will focus on a range of project accounting activities as well as managing a range of stakeholders.  

Specific deliverables will include:
  • Complete project financial status reports and Transformation Office pack with quality commentaries to stakeholders
  • Track actual spend against plan and forecast, identify and communicate any risks/issues and opportunities to the financial forecast/plan.
  • Ensure the GL balance reflects the actual spend by raising appropriate accrual and other month end journals.
  • Be a driving force and ensure month end is completed within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure compliance to Project Governance and Execution frameworks and methodologies to establish a strong financial control environment.
  • Understand linkage of commercial (e.g. SoW and invoices) to the project spend forecast to improve finance control.

This will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to extend.  

Required Skills and experience:
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in financial analysis, project accounting or management accounting, preferably in financial services.
  • CA or CPA or equivalent qualification
  • Must have experience in working in a large, complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to deal with demanding stakeholders in the project
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment and adapt quickly to change
  • Problem solving, proactive mindset
