A high-profile Insurance Client are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their Operations Team.

As an Advisor in our Employee Relations team, you will provide trusted and compliant advice to employees and people leaders across Australia and New Zealand.  You will provide coaching and support on employee relations matters and drive a consistent people experience to help our people perform at their best in a workplace that is both safe and inclusive.    

You will join a Trans-Tasman team of employee relations professionals who are positive, supportive, and considerate and have a wealth of knowledge to share with each other and those they advise.  

This role would suit a professional who has been practising Employment law within the private sector with 1-2 years experience and is looking to move in house.

Your responsibilities
  • Deliver an effective and efficient service to employees and managers across Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, advising and supporting the business (Managers and employees) through the lifecycle of complex case management to resolution
  • Ensure advice provided aligns with Company policies, procedures and external legislative requirements for Australia and New Zealand
  • Identify opportunities and trends for our people experience overall and specific business divisions to increase capability and address gaps or learning opportunities as required
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enable effective use of the tiered service model
  • Contribute to project work as identified and drive the success and solutions across the team and P&C
  • Contribute to your own workplace safety and wellbeing and proactively manage risk for Company Conduct
  • Regular reviews of knowledge articles and processes to identify opportunities to improve the people experience and effective use of the tiered service model.
Your capability and experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an ER or employment law role
  • Legal Background required
  • Solid knowledge of employment relations frameworks and employment legislation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills

  • Employment Law qualification
