About the role:
 
Working for this leading General Insurer, as a Commercial Analyst you will form park of a close-knit team within the Technology & Operations division, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making regarding the group’s technology costs, to drive strategic cost optimisation.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
You will be responsible for thoroughly reviewing and analysing various technology cost components, utilising your insights and modelling skills to propose recommendations to management aimed at enhancing commercial outcomes. In addition, you will:
  • Simplify complex commercial scenarios to enable you to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to a range of commercial projects, utilising your expertise in analysis and modelling.
  • Analyse the cost drivers within the Technology & Operations cost structure and leveraging your insights to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the Commercial Plan for the group’s Technology & Operations Division by quantifying commercial targets, identifying necessary initiatives, and monitoring the realisation of associated benefits.
  • Conduct advanced financial modelling, analysis, and scenario planning to support decision-making processes.
 
 
Required skills and experience:
  • You will be CA/ CPA qualified with 5 + years experience as a financial or commercial analyst.
  • Able to use your great communication skills to tell “the story’ and focus on the metrics that matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay well-informed about the external environment and offer meaningful external insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing commercial tools and models, utilising tools like Tableau, Excel, PowerBI, and relevant programming languages or applications.
  • Possess strong commercial and organisational acumen.
