The Role & The Organisation

This is an Operations All-rounder role which is responsible for back-office operational and settlement duties in Trade Finance, Loans, and Financial Market settlements at an international bank.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process and settle Trade Finance, Loans (Bilateral and Syndications), and Financial Market settlements Financial Market transactions (FX, MM, Debt Securities and Derivatives) and perform trade confirmations and verifications.
  • Reconcile exceptions and assist the Nostro Reconciliation team with investigations.
  • Process Trade Finance transactions AML document checks.
  • Closely monitor customer repayments; escalate breaches and overdue reports to the management.
  • Identify and follow up on all fee discrepancies in the Trade Finance and Corporate loans portfolio.
  • Maintain operational control procedures and governance controls; undertake quality compliance and risk checks to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce or related area.
  • 3+ years of back office experience in financial market settlements, loans and trade finance operations environment.
  • Experience in payment systems and channels -SWIFT, Austraclear/ Clearstream/ Euroclear, RITS.
  • Experience in International Trade Finance and transaction processing skills, particularly Trade Documentation and Letters Of Credit, with application of ICC rules, in particular URC522, UCP600 and URDG758 is advantageous.
  • A team player, good communication and relationship building skills.
  • Good understanding of the AML compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is desirable.
