Join this forward thinking listed business in Line 3 – the Internal Audit team. This is an exciting and newly created position, reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, overseeing a small team of Audit staff. Your mandate will be to establish the Internal Audit capability focussing on Data Analytics / GenAI and Emerging technologies, being on the  forefront of delivering cutting-edge technology and risk assurance solutions. You will have a proven ability in designing, implementing, and auditing Data Analytics and Emerging Technology frameworks, with a risk-based approach.

Some Duties:
  • Develop Data Management, Digital Transformation, GenAI and  Emerging Technology audit strategies and frameworks that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure the audit plan consider APRA regulatory standards, in adherence with industry best practices, privacy and ethics.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of audit engagements, contributing to the successful delivery of technology-driven Internal Audits.
  • Integrate cybersecurity and technology-related insights into audit evaluations, advising on improvements to data-driven decision-making and maintain a secure digital ecosystem.
  • Translate technical concepts into actionable insights, articulating complex findings to non-technical stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Present at sub-committee forums and at times at Board level.
  • Lead, mentor, develop and recruit for your team.

Your background:
  • Degree in Technology, Data Science, Architecture, Engineering, Accounting etc., with Big 4 / Chartered / Consulting training in either Audit / Risk / Data Analytics / Data Science or other.
  • You could be in Audit, Risk, Data Analytics (DA), Emerging Technologies (ET) or Data Engineering / Architecture. You will though be prepared to stay in Line 3, Internal Audit for at least 2 years.
  • Recent or past experience gained in Emerging Technologies in either Artificial Intelligence (AI) / GenAI / Blockchain / IoT / Machine Learning (ML) / Quantum Computing and / or Cryptocurrencies will be highly regarded.
  • You will be familiar with concepts such as Business Insights, Model Configuration, Big Data, Data Lakes, Data Privacy, Quantitative and or Qualitative, AWS or Azure cloud technologies, and / or AI-powered data solutions.
  • Critical thinker, agile, can work with ambiguity, with above average interpersonal and communications skills required.
  • You will enjoy continuous learning and a genuine interest in driving innovation.

We will consider suitable applications with international experience, where VISA support is required. This position can be based in NSW / QLD / VIC / WA or SA.
