Primary purpose of the role

The Technical Writer consults with Quality Assurance Unit Subject Matter Experts to develop policy and procedure documents to document how Quality Assurance business is to be done across the Quality Assurance Unit and other business units in Training Quality Regulation.  This involves working collaboratively across the business unit to record processes for the performance of improvement and optimisation initiatives. You will record operational policy and processes to improve the production efficiency and quality of operations within the Quality Assurance Unit.  Once policy and procedure documents are established and embedded, they will assist in driving continuous improvement of performance.
Key accountabilities
  • Monitor, analyse and review business processes to identify process gaps and to enable development of improvement strategies.
  • Build effective relationships and work collaboratively with subject matter experts within the Quality Assurance Unit to understand end to end processes and document effective policy and process solutions
  • Employ User Centred Service Design practices and principles to record business processes and improve the delivery of Quality Assurance functions
  • Develop reporting and performance tools to enable the tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of the Unit’s improvement program.
  • Undertake systems and manual process analysis, process design and recording.
  • Undertake analysis to support management decision making and to provide value add support to the team.

Ability to communicate in writing complex processes clearly and concisely.
