Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for aSenior PMO Commercial Analyst to join their team until June 202
The Senior PMO Commercial Analyst is responsible for undertaking financial analysis, modelling, management and monthly reporting for all the programs within the Cyber Defence Portfolio. The role provides key inputs to and assists with the development of key financial decisions and business cases for funding across the portfolio.
The role will also be responsible for stakeholder management of Finance, Procurement, Grup IT and IT & OT stakeholders across the divisions and branches.

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for the ongoing financial management and reporting of the Cyber Defence Portfolio.

  • Ongoing maintenance of the Cyber Defence Portfolio Financial Model, managing CAPEX and OPEX funds from different funding sources and across different programs.

  • Responsible for financial management of time-sheeting, purchase orders, invoices, accruals, etc and monthly reporting across the programs in the Cyber Defence Portfolio.

  • Assist with strategic reporting; help drive improvements in data integrity and accuracy.

  • Preparation of financial for Investment Briefs for funding requests.

  • Monthly meetings with each project manager to manage project financial within the programs.

  • Management of Cyber Defence Portfolio Year End activities.

  • Undertake ad-hoc analyses to address key business issues.

Essential requirements

  • A Bachelor degree in business / marketing / economics / commerce essential.

  • Commercial / financial management and reporting experience (5+ years) in transformation program or equivalent with significant change implications

  • Proven leadership and management experience at a senior Finance level (4 - 5 years).

  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) working with key vendors and senior stakeholders.

  • Project management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships and influencing teams to deliver outcomes, to meet overall financial reporting schedule.

  • Understanding of financial / economic modelling and regulatory environment.

  • Demonstrated Cyber Security financial management experience (1 - 2 years) or commercial management experience (3- 4 years), including cyber delivery. 

  • Complex problem solving and analytical skills with ability to define outcomes and action plan to deliver on the agreed objectives
