Our Client, a Leading NSW  Government Department are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team on a 9 month contract based in Parramatta.
There is flexibility to work from home a number of days per week.
The role is to support the delivery of the business readiness activities assigned to Procurement Effectiveness as part of Business Experience Platform (BxP) program delivery i.e. SAP systems implementation.

Day to day duties

  • Support the delivery of BxP
  • Contribute to the business readiness activities assigned to Procurement, which include but not limited to
  • Design and implementation of supplier management process
  • Support the establishment of pool of registered suppliers
  • Assisting the implementation of Procurement policy
  • Conduct data gathering, analysis and process documentation activities relevant to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews of new processes to identify further improvement opportunities.
  • Provide data and analytics to inform business cases, options analysis, benefits tracking for Procurement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data and analytical tools and methodologies, including data modelling and statistical analysis techniques to improve Procurement outcomes and support decision making.
  • Deliver tools and training to build Corporation–Wide Procurement skills and capability across process, technology and ways of working. 
In order to be eligible for this role you will have:
  • 4+ years’ experience working in supply chain or procurement in a large complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement process improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change within Procurement life cycle
  • Proven ability to support cross functional continuous improvement processes
  • Sound knowledge of Procurement process, systems, data and analytics
  • Ability to map current state, recommend future state, and assess the gaps between current vs to be.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders to adopt change as part of the business readiness initiatives delivery
  • Complex problem solving and analytical skills with ability to define outcomes and action plan to deliver on the agreed objectives
