We are working with a Leading Software Employer of Choice to secure an experienced Principal Engineer which will see you join a world class Platform team to help uplift and drive their capability
 
Key Information:
  • $$: Salary dependent on experience + shares
  • Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane for Hybrid set up – no mandated office days, but you will have access to some of the best offices in Australia from these locations

You will be joining as a Principal Engineer. Day to day, you will:
  • Define engineering excellence! Implement best practice, upskill your pod/teams, provide solution architecture or design within the team
  • Help create software - Work on initiatives that span multiple teams to improve how this Market Leader creates and delivers soft You’ll guide engineering practices of teams, helping them achieve product goals via world-class engineering techniques. Advocate for the adoption of new technology and tooling to support product requirements. Guide teams in defining and implementing SLOs. Ensure security and data guidelines are implemented.
  • Test software - Promote the quality engineering strategy and standards, and support teams in evolving their practices and skills to be effective and compliant
  • Resolve issues - Focus on systemic and strategic prevention of issues by implementing practices and tooling that make world class engineering easy
  • Engineering standards & frameworks - Be involved with the creation and promotion of companywide as well as portfolio level standards and frameworks. Research industry best practice and implement as appropriate
  • Continuous improvement - Proactively maintain, grow and share knowledge of development technologies used in the development
 
About you – your experience will see you bring experience:
  • You will be an experienced development professional with leadership experience
  • This role is Tech agnostic – we are looking for engineering excellence and Continuous improvement leadership!
  • You will have solution architecture or design experience as this will be part of your role
  • Extensive technical leadership experience on cloud-native platforms.
  • Bonus: Tech stack is .NET Core, React, and AWS – experience in these technologies are not mandatory
  • Able to regularly review delivery and production metrics to identify areas of improvement for product groups.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring engineers across multiple disciplines.
