Support the planning, coordination and execution of the organisations communications strategy to support business aims and activities in order to raise its public profile and gain public support for its strategic projects

Key accountabilities
  • Project manage the publication of the Annual Report process including content commissioning, writing, editing, design, photography, printing and distribution and ensure it meets all legislative, quality standards and record keeping requirements and deadlines.
  • Actively engage and execute the Strategy including supporting and educating the staff on all aspects of this strategy and its purpose.
  • Develop and implement media plans, press releases and respond to media requests to build public profile and gain public support. Manage the identification, resolution and escalation of media-related issues.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement various media communications and activities, such as organising events and booking interviews to raise the profile of the organisation
  • Produce, write and execute content for a range of projects, corporate communications and messaging, including annual report, corporate event communications, media releases, news stories, social and internal communications and support management of digital and social channels.
  • Develop briefs and liaise with photographers, graphic designers and other suppliers to develop impactful communications.
  • Actively engage with media monitoring systems and provide media reports to the team and ELG when required.
  • Manage a maintain the style guide, monitor publications to ensure the guide is appropriately interpreted, and develop strategies to ensure that the style guide is understood and used appropriately.
  • Edit and proofread Corporate Services policies and procedures, internet and intranet content and other publications as required to ensure consistency, integrity and clarity.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff around media and public relations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory and other reports as well as other publications related to the work of the organisation
  • Assist with the development and implementation of effective stakeholder engagement strategies with a broad range of individuals and organisations across the government and non-government sectors as well as with community groups.
